The Himalayan Light Foundation (HLF) has been providing vital services to remote Nepal areas for nearly 20 years. We work with several local Nepal partners, and bi-lateral support organizations. The HLF team is currently providing emergency relief to the difficult to reach areas of Helambu (Yolmo) region as well as the upper villages of Sankhu Vajrayogini. We partner with local organizations such as The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Alumni Association and Yolmo Youth Groups to highly leverage our effective field capacity.
Why Support HLF
The Himalayan Light Foundation provides immediate disaster relief and vital services to several remote Nepal areas unserved by larger aid organizations. We are currently working with several local partners, and bi-lateral support organizations to accomplish our goals.
The Himalayan Light Foundation is currently implementing three focus programs in addition to its emergency relief efforts. Our "SPOWTS" and Solar Sisters programs as well the Heritage Renewal Initiative will provide long term relief and prosperity for the region.
The Himalayan Light Foundation is also supported by the Bodhivastu Foundation, and implements its programs with the help of local youth groups. HLF has worked with several major supporting partners, such as UNDP, UNESCO, JICA Alumni and several others.
