Adam Friedensohn

 President and Founder of HLF USA / Founder and Chief Advisor of Board of Advisors HLF Nepal.
A Nepal resident for 17 years Adam Friedensohn designs programs for HLF while helping HLF formulate strategic alliances for working with village groups, volunteers, donors,  other local and regional non-profit organizations as well as private sector organizations.

His Name means Man, Son of Peace.
Some of his Aspirations include assuring that all remote dwellers of the region are freed from a life lived in darkness and pollution and are assisted to rise to preserve their fragile but valuable treasures of their unique cultural richness. email: adamf@hlf.org.np

Responsible for administrative processes, donor coordination, accounting, volunteers and sub-programs through HLF Nepal.
Her name means dream.
Her dream: To help all village women of Nepal to stand on the foundation of self- empowerment and create lives free from poverty and ignorance.

 

 

 Nabin Kumar Shrestha

Nabin Kumar ShresthaAdvisor HLF USA and HLF Nepal was born in Kathmandu, Nepal. He received the B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia in 1998 and the M.Phil degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2001. He joined Himalayan Light Foundation, HLF as a Project Coordinator in early 1999. He initiated various projects like Home Employment Lighting Package (HELP) with Adam Friendensohn and Sapana Shakya, promoting sustainable Solar Lighting Program funded by UNDP Global Environment Facility and Alternative Energy Promotion Center. He also established links with various overseas universities, University of New South Wales (Australia), Stuttgart University (German) and now University of Cambridge (UK). Most of the project were based on Solar Energy for Lighting purpose, Income generating activities for making the technology sustainable and local development activities. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree at the University of Cambridge, UK. His current research interests are design and modeling of high power semiconductor devices and its application; and renewable energy technologies and its sustainability. He has published few papers on various programs implemented by HLF in different conferences to promote the good work done by HLF.
